Critical Path Statistics of Max-Plus Linear Systems with Gaussian Noise

چکیده
The critical paths of a Max-plus linear systems with noise are random variables. In this paper we introduce the edge criticalities which measure how often the critical paths traverse each edge in the precedence graph. We also present the parallel path approximation, a novel analytic method for approximating these new statistics as well as the previously studied max-plus exponent. We show that for low amplitude noise the critical paths spend most of their time traversing the deterministic maximally weighted cycle and that as the noise amplitude is increased the critical paths become more random and their distribution over the edges in the precedence graph approaches a highly uniform measure of maximal entropy.

We investigate harvesting electrical energy from Gaussian white, Gaussian colored, telegraph and random phase-random amplitude (RARP) noises, using linear and nonlinear electromechanical systems. We show that the output power of the linear system with one or two degrees of freedom, is maximum for the Gaussian white noise. The response of the system with two degrees of freedom is widened in a la...
متن کاملAnalytic MMSE Bounds in Linear Dynamic Systems with Gaussian Mixture Noise Statistics
Using state-space representation, mobile object positioning problems can be described as dynamic systems, with the state representing the unknown location and the observations being the information gathered from the location sensors. For linear dynamic systems with Gaussian noise, the Kalman filter provides the Minimum Mean-Square Error (MMSE) state estimation by tracking the posterior. Hence, ...

This paper presents a constrained least mean squared (LMS) algorithm for MIMO CDMA linear equalizer is presented, which is constrained on spreading sequence length, number of subscribers, variances of the Gaussian noise and the multiple access interference (MAI) plus the additive noise (introduced as a new constraint). The novelty of the proposed algorithm is that MAI and MAI plus noise varianc...
متن کاملNumerical solution of second-order stochastic differential equations with Gaussian random parameters
In this paper, we present the numerical solution of ordinary differential equations (or SDEs), from each order especially second-order with time-varying and Gaussian random coefficients. We indicate a complete analysis for second-order equations in special case of scalar linear second-order equations (damped harmonic oscillators with additive or multiplicative noises). Making stochastic differe...

Several approaches have been introduced in literature for active noise control (ANC)systems. Since Filtered-x-Least Mean Square (FxLMS) algorithm appears to be the best choice as acontroller filter. Researchers tend to improve performance of ANC systems by enhancing andmodifying this algorithm. This paper proposes a new version of FxLMS algorithm. In many ANCapplications an online secondary pat...
